    EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITY

    Kimberli's Place Foundation,Inc. - Empowering Communities

Kimberli’s Place Foundation focuses on building emotional and practical resilience through a trauma-informed care. Our approach emphasizes mental health as the foundation for all other life skills, for STUDENTS, VETERANS, FAMILIES and INDIVIDUALS in crisis.

Key strategies in educating these life skills include:

    • The "3 C's" Framework: The foundation teaches a structured coping method—Choose, Communicate, and Coping—to help individuals manage high-stress situations.
      • Choose: Decisions on activities and boundaries that protect one's mental health.
      • Communicate: Effectively articulating one's needs to family and friends.
      • Coping: Using specific tools and resources to manage emotional distress.

    • HOPE Program for Students: This program focuses on educational transitioning, helping students move back into school after mental health crises. It includes:
      • Academic tutoring and goal setting to build self-confidence.
      • Developing advocacy skills to navigate IEP and 504 plan requirements.
      • Peer support to foster a sense of safety and social confidence.

    • Empowerment through Education: We provide community-wide education to break mental health stigmas, equipping clients with the knowledge to recognize crises and act as “hope-speakers” for others.
    • Holistic Self-care Events: We host monthly self-care events within the community to provide individuals with emotional regulation, mental health clarity during high stress times, and physical stress release through massages, and hair care FREE so our community feels supported.
    • Natural Support Advocacy: A core part of what we do is to educate our community and clients of their rights of a natural support system — by educating individuals to build and maintain a network of resources and support for families and individuals that provide long term sustainability and a safety net.
