Administrators

Supporting mental health starts at the top. Let's commit to creating a culture where teachers feel safe to voice their challenges, take mental health days, and receive realistic workloads. Exceptional leadership means protecting the well-being of the adults who guide our children.

Teachers

You cannot pour from an empty cup. This year, give yourself permission to set boundaries. Your mental health matters just as much as your student data. When you model healthy boundaries, you teach your students to do the same.

Students

Students support your own mental health during the back-to-school season, establish predictable daily routines, encourage open communication about anxiety, prioritize consistent sleep, and connect with others  and admin, practice morning schedules early to reduce the stress of uncertainty.

STORY OF HOPE

THANK YOU WINGATE for sharing OUR STORY of HOPE!

After the sudden passing of her close friend, Heather Klaus ’20 was moved to take action. What started as a small shop in honor of her friend has grown into Kimberli’s Place Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health support in Union County, North Carolina.

Heather, a Wingate psychology graduate, is using her education and experience to address critical gaps in care by providing counseling access, student support, and self-care services for families in crisis. Her work is a powerful example of turning compassion into impact.
